PICTURE DAY on FRIDAY!

We saw lots of kids “cheesing” for their parent’s cameras at Fun Fest earlier this month so our fingers are crossed they remember to bring their best smiles to SNIS Picture Day this Friday!

Retake Day is scheduled for November 14.

SNIS Spirit Night for September Cancelled… But we have a great one scheduled for October 19!

Change in plans… Our first SNIS PTO Spirit Night of the year will take place on October 19 at Panera Bread! Panera will donate 25% of the sales made with the code FUND4U between 4-8pm.

Our apologies that our September partner had to make a change and we weren’t able to secure another quickly. Please let us know you have a business you’d love to see partner with our SNIS community.

If you’re looking for something fun to do tomorrow night in place of Spirit Night be sure to check out Rock the Block on Bank Street featuring music by The Mighty Plowboys! You’ll be sure to run into some of your SNIS friends at Rock the Block.

TOMORROW - Don’t forget to WEAR-GREEN-THURSDAY 9/21!

Mrs. Bilko shared that students and staff are encouraged to Wear-Green-Thursday (TOMORROW!) as part of SNIS’ participation in Start With Hello Week, a national call-to-action week dedicated to making new social connections and creating a sense of belonging among youth.

This week students were encouraged to say “hello” to someone they didn’t know, participate in a random act of kindness, and play with someone new at recess - spreading kindness throughout the school. Tomorrow (Thursday September 21) students are encouraged to wear green to promote kindness.

New Milford’s Townwide PTO membership encompasses the PTOs at Hill & Plain Elementary School, Northville Elementary School, Sarah Noble Intermediate School, Schaghticoke Middle School, New Milford High School and Litchfield Hills Transition Center. If you have students in multiple schools the cost remains just $10 per family. Be sure to designate the PTOs you want to be part of in your membership form!
